Membership Terms & Conditions

I. Membership Eligibility and Authority

The organization welcomes applications for membership from any individual who maintains a sincere interest in the promotion and celebration of Indian cultural events. Membership is restricted to adults only.

The Executive Committee serves as the governing body for all admissions. Consequently, the Committee reserves the exclusive right to accept or deny a membership application at its sole discretion to ensure the alignment of new members with the organization’s values and objectives.

II. Membership Categories and Fee Structure

The following membership tiers are established for the current term. All fees are denominated in Euros (€) and are applied on an annual basis:

  • Individual Membership: 30€ per annum.
  • Couple Membership: 50€ per annum.
  • Student Membership: 15€ per annum.

    Requirement: Submission of a valid Student Certificate (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung) is mandatory to avail of this rate.

III. Application for New Membership

Prospective members must complete the formal Membership Form in its entirety. To process the application, a scanned copy of the signed form must be transmitted to the Executive Committee accompanied by the following mandatory documentation:

  • Proof of Identity: A clear copy of a government-issued ID or Passport.
  • Proof of Residence: A valid Meldebescheinigung (Registration Certificate) is the only accepted proof of residential address.

The applicant is legally bound to the terms and declarations stipulated within the Membership Form upon submission.

IV. Admission Decision and Payment Activation

The Executive Committee shall review all applications and provide a formal response in writing within thirty (30) days of receipt. The Committee maintains the prerogative to decline membership without further obligation.

A membership is considered active and the term commences only upon the verified receipt of the membership fee. Payment must be executed via Bank Transfer or PayPal. Comprehensive payment instructions and account details are maintained on the official organization website.

V. Validity Period and Renewal Policy

All memberships are issued for a fixed term corresponding to the calendar year, beginning on January 1st and expiring on December 31st.

Members are permitted to renew their membership at any time during the calendar year to maintain their status. However, should a membership not be renewed within a grace period of three (3) months following the December expiration (by March 31st of the following year), the membership shall be subject to automatic cancellation.

VI. Governance and Election Protocols

The election of the Executive Committee is conducted biennially (once every two years) and shall take place before the 31st of March of the election year. The following criteria govern the right to vote:

  • Financial Standing: Only those members who have fully settled their membership dues for the preceding calendar year are eligible to participate in the voting process.
  • Voter Eligibility Period: To ensure organizational stability, new members are eligible to cast a vote only after completing a minimum of three (3) months of active membership from their date of admission.
