Our History and Structure
The Bharat Verein (Indian Association) e.V. was originally founded in 1965. As a registered association (e.V.) under German law, our official seat is located in Frankfurt am Main.
We operate strictly on an exclusive and non-profit basis, recognized as a charitable entity in accordance with the German Non-Profit Ordinance of December 24, 1953. We do not engage in any commercial business operations.
Mission and Objectives
Our core purpose is anchored in fostering international understanding, tolerance, and friendship across all cultural fields. We are dedicated to building and nurturing strong relationships between Indian, German, and other nationalities through social, cultural, and academic contacts.
Specifically, the objectives of the Association are achieved through:
- The organization and promotion of artistic performances, lectures, and multi-cultural events.
- Facilitating academic exchange programs and economic projects.
- Engagement in youth affairs and similar communal activities.
